There’s a Sandcastle Competition, but it doesn’t have to be a sandcastle, it can be anything sculpted in sand.
It kicks off with registration from 9.30 on Saturday morning, 21st September, at M&M’s beach hut 100 The Leas, at bottom of the slope at the end of Woodberry Way, Walton.
You can begin building from 10am until judging at noon. Prizes are for the best designs, any sculptures, not just castles. Entries can be individuals or teams of up to six, but children under 12 must be supervised by an adult. Prize giving is at 12.30.
Access to this wide sandy beach is by a concrete slope and the beach is not interrupted by breakwaters. All entrants should note that taking part in this activity is at their own risk.
The event is being organised by Frinton Rotary Club.
